Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am a newbie to these forums and OsCommerce. I do nto know how to edit PHP pages or OsCommerce to much.

I have the following message on my homepage.............

Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in? Or would you prefer to create an account?

This is a demonstration online-shop, any products purchased will not be delivered nor billed. Any information seen on these products are to be treated fictional.

If you wish to download this sample shop, or to contribute to this project, please visit the support site. This shop is based on osCommerce 2.2-CVS.

How do I edit this message along with other messages on other pages? Thanks in advance guys! I realize this is a really newbie question. :)

You will find General Text difinations that cover text used in most pages in

includes/Languages/English.php

also you will find many text defininations that are used in one spefic page in

includes/languages/english/

for the main page text it is

includes/languages/english/default.php

look for

define('TEXT_MAIN',

Mr Pope,

the only thing it changes is the why

I'm assuming that should be ..."the wAythe..."

"Welcome to shop4sound. We are the Internets best car audio dealer."

That's quite a claim.

I'd be curious to know how many people actually know what your swf says. I don't know too many people who would be willing to sit thru the 2 minutes it takes to load it before clicking on the "Please click to enter" link.

Off-topic...I know...sorry...but the OP's last comment prompted me to go take a look. *shrug* :?

It wasn't intended to be "picky"

It was intended as constructive criticism.

You see it said all the time by the "guru's" (and I agree becos I know it puts me off a site)...There is nothing more off-putting to a potential customer than a page that has typos or spelling mistakes.
