Guest Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Hi All, Yesterday I bought a template from template monster “23232” and after successful install I can only access the admin area but not the main catalog area. It just looks like it keeps refreshing. Maybe you guy’s have a solution for me. I did a search on this forum but couldn’t find a similar issue. Here is the link so you can see it for your self. http://www.zizo-media.nl/shop/ Thank's in advance!, Roy
multimixer Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 no one? :( What did templatemonster answer in the main time? Any news from there? Anyway, what I would do is to make a second installation of a virgin osc rc2a and see if everything works fine. In that way I would know if my issue is monster related or something else My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
Guest Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Hi Multimixer, I did that and it works fine. so there is some stuff going on in there template. I have installed several monster templates before with minor problems but all solutions found in this forum. So I hoped that someone had a similar issue and solved it. I have also submitted a ticket to template monster about the problem but I think it will take a while.
multimixer Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 What if you try to install the virgin version first and then copy over all monster files and import the monster DB, just keeping the 2 configure.php files? Guest Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Hi Multimixer, I was uploading and overwriting some folders from the virgin version and when I had overwrite the includes folder I saw some stuff happening. So I uploaded the original includes folder again and did file by file and say that when I was overwriting the header.php I saw some oscommerce happening but off course the wrong layout. Then I was looking in the header.php file and found this line that I have comment out. // print("<script type='text/javascript'>window.location='index.php';</script>"); Now it looks like the website works. But what does that piece op code doo, is it important? Cheers!
multimixer Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Finally at least we know now what was causing the problem. Regarding this line, it's not a part of the standard installation. I don't know what your template is using it for. What version is the store you got? You can find this out going to file catalog/includes/application_top.php and check following line // define the project version define('PROJECT_VERSION', 'osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC2a'); PS. Any news from the monster seller? My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
