bodpod Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 My original server/host only allowed me to have have one database which is currently in use by my old store) so i needed a new database while i developed the oscommerce site so i got a paid $250 per year hosting service. i installed oscommerce on my original site and used the database on the new server. I have found a free hosting service which i would like to transfer the oscommerce database to. I have this saved. How do i make my current oscommerce site go to the new database? The paid hosting account has expired where the oscommerce database was. and now i just get the following error message: Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'thesolar'@'phantom.digitalrocks.com' (using password: YES) in /home/solar/public_html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! I am looking for someone to help with add ons also so i would be willing to pay for services also. Thanks

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

Now its ready and i uploaded everithing to my host an i get the same error but i can nog use te same usernames like on my local test server. is it possible to change the the usernames in a file and in wich file? i can not change the username on my host so i have to change is somwhare in the oscommerce but where?????
