doniac Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Hi, I've tried looking for a solution everywhere, but no-one seems to know the answer! My install just hangs at Step 1 - Importing the database structure . If i try to skip past step 1 using http://...../install.php?step=2 i notice that it hasn't written the DB info to the configure.php files. It does create the actual DB in MySQl though. If I manually put in the DB info into that configure.php file, once I click past step 3, i notice that it has blanked out the info in the configure.php file, and I just get the following errors on screen- "PHP Warning: mysql_query() expects parameter 2 to be resource, null given in C:\doniacs\catalog\install\includes\functions\database.php on line 24" I am using - IIS 5.1 PHP 5 MySQl 5 Thanks.
web-project Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 you can install without installation script, simply load the sql file into mysql database and edit the configure.php file using notepad or similar editors. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.
