m.devogel Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Hello all, I wanted to run osCommerce v2.2 on my webserver, while register_globals=OFF. Of course, I got an error message: Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory. I did not want to change my value for register_globals, because of other applications running and safety. Adaption the .htaccess-file gave not the wanted result. But, I searched, and found this wonderful solution: see: www.magic-seo-url.com/oscommerce/tips/running-oscommerce-with-register-globals-off.html I changed the files as mentioned in the link, and now my OSC works FINE, while my register_globals are still OFF. Try it, and have fun!
FIMBLE Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I would rather upgrade to a newer version of osCommerce. Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
