emaster Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Hi, I'm confused on how to set up a product whose price changes based on BOTH width and height. Since there's no simple relationship between price and the width/height, simple drop-down style price calculator doesn't work. Or setting a default price for the product and entering additional price for the width and height doesn't work either because the total price would be different whether the customer enters the width first or height first. Imagine a price sheet with width on the columns and height on the rows, and it has different prices for each cell. Have any ideas? Thanks.
♥ecartz Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Try the following and see if it meets your needs: Create a category with the product name. Pick one of width or height; for this example, I'll pick width. Make products in the category, where each product represents a single width. Make product attributes for each product that represent the height. This would allow you to have a different price for each width/height combination. Always back up before making changes.
