Peter wasn't asking for a link to your shop. He was telling you to get links to your shop. There's much more to do for SEO than that but it's a start. But before you try any of that, you need to figure out what version of oscommerce you are using. You mentioned oscMax, which is an off-shoot of oscommerce and not supported here, nor does it have anything to do with SEO.

Hello Jack,

ok, now it becomes a bit clear to me what Peter mentioned. The osC version that we have is merchant 2.2. RC2a with PHP Version 5.2.8. Working on a Apache server.

The webdesigner of us was only speaking to us about something like an upgrade for osCMAX but we don't have that at the moment and i know it will be not necessary.

I'm sure that Ultimate SEO URL's would be enough and a good solution for us.

About the 'to get link to your shop' that u and Peter mentioned: u mean that i have to give u url's links of the products? or that i must do something with it?

still learning, as u can see but the way seems very long and difficult to me :)

Hope to hear from u soon.

For the moment, thanks a lot for this helpfull info.

Click on the bottom of a previous poster called jack_mcs post. He has released several SEO comtribution, all that work together. Ultimate SEO URL's only alters the products URL to something better than oscommerce does. You will still need to add metatags to your site, which Jacks contribution does. Once you have all of these contributions done, that is a start. There is lots of information on the internet anout SEO, i suggest you read a few. What Java Roasters means is that you will have to submit the URLs of either tyour site or products to other websites and get backlinks from them. (read SOE articles to see what this means) dont post the links on this site.

REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP

Many would argue, myself included, that a move to oscMax is not an upgrade. WebDesigners use it because it is easier for them to make one package that works for many sites, thus saving them a lot of work. Other than that, there isn't any real benefits but plenty of problems. I suggest you not do that should it come up again.
