Currencies

Hi

I have just installed and configured oscommerce and all is going well, but I cannot find where to change the currency to GBP. I'm sure that it's easy and that I must be overlooking something really simple. Can anyone help please? I've searched the forums and can't find an answer.

Thank you for any advice

The first thing to do is to go to admin >> Localization >> Currencies and add a new currency GBP with the pound symbol as the symbol left (symbol right can be left blank). Then you can follow steps #15 and #27 in the How Do I? thread?

Always back up before making changes.

Login to admin: http://www.mysitename.com/catalog/admin

click Localization/currencies in the left hand column and click then "new currency" which is on the right

Fill in the form as below:

Title: UK Pounds

Code: GBP

Symbol Left: £

Symbol Right:

Decimal Point: .

Thousands Point: ,

Decimal Places: 2

Last Updated:

Value: 1.00000000

!CLICK THE BOX AT THE END OF THE FORM! "Set as default (requires a manual update of currency values)"

>>>Now, via ftp, find the catalog/includes/languages/english.php and change line 39 to:

// if USE_DEFAULT_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY is true, use the following currency, instead of the applications default currency (used when changing language)

define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'GBP');

all done.. Elliott...

Cheers.. Elliott..
