jimmyharwood Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hi, wondering if anybody can shed a light. I have recently been subject to a attack (assume injection) with links out to a forex site. I have purged all my files (deleted) and upload a clean version. I have follwed (a bit late) advice from the forums and now changed the name and location of admin and put server side password protect on as well. I have upload sucurity pro as suggested - and this is where I assume I have made my mistake - I have changed all the permissions, at first to 644 but then some of the site stopped working, there relaxed various folders to get the site up and going (slowly relaxed until it came alive - image folders been one). If I send a email via the email tool in the admin/tools this goes ok. When an order is made (thrrough to paypal ipn) there is no order process either to me (store owner) or customer When there is a order update and the notify customer is checked - no email is sent. I assume the changes to the permissions (persumably still 644) is the problem, is there any advice that can be offered. The site that I reload was a back up from a known working, Any help would be great Jimmy
FIMBLE Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hi First off are you sure all of the malicious code has been removed plus any files added? As a rule, folders = 0755 files = 0644 ensure that the email used in admin is still working and not out of box space on the server. If no order is created prior to the custoemr leaving to pay usually Preparing [paypal IPN] then think about installing officail PayPal IPN from teh contributions. loginid Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Hi there, I also recently password protected my admin area using the ISP control panel. Have spent the last 2 hours looking for a solution here - but can't seem to find one. Now I no longer have the following email functionality: * Order Process emails to site admin comes sometimes * Order confirm emails (original email) no longer gets sent to customers * Order update emails from orders page no longer gets sent to customers When I remove the password protect on admin (just to test) all the correct emails are being sent. I hope you can help me? Thanks!
