timbeckham
I noticed that only zip files (which are used on Windows) are available for 2.2M1. The tar.gz files are not available. I use Linux OS. I can unzip the zip files on Linux (my only OS - my only digital love), but will the files in the zip download be identical on the tar.gz, if and when they become available? radders
There's no difference (it doesn't have a Windows version and a Unix version).
Harald Ponce de Leon
Scroll a little further down the page and on the right will be a link that reads "Downloads and other formats hosted at SourceForge.net". Click there to download the .tar.gz packages. Everyone knows what format .zip is, but not everyone knows what format .tar.gz is, which is why I simplified the layout of the download page and only included links for the zip packages. Both packages contain exactly the same content :D , osCommerce
timbeckham
Thanks for all the feedback, folks. I've got M1(zip) up and running and all is well. Tim B. Artisans of the Ironwork Guild
radders
I found that using the tarball took 5 minutes to upload and unpack. Unzipping the zipped version on my pc and uploading took 4 hours!
