Previously successfully installed 3.00from the same downloaded source. We have tried two new fresh installations of 3.00 and both are getting the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /homepages/8/d201194271/htdocs/Honda/Catalog/admin/includes/classes/language.php on line 20

If you're talking about osC V3.x you've posted in the wrong part of the forum.

This part is for osCommerce Online Merchant v2.x exclusively.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

This ended up in the 2.2 installation folder as I had done a seach while in the 3.00 installation section, and there is no partition between the two

and did not realize I was now in the 2.2 when not having found a close match did a new post. This was answered in the 3.00 section that the mistake was that the host was running php 4 not the required 5. This can be fixed by modifying the .htaccess file in the root section on the catalog.
