Banana Man Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Hi, I have just setup an osCommerce store. For some reason emails are not being sent from teh store. If i send a test email from the contact form i get a sucess message "Your enquiry has been successfully sent to the Store Owner." but the email never arrives. I have tried it on a couple of email accounts and checked spam folders so thats not the issue i dont think. I have also configured the Email Address, Email From and Send Extra Order Emails To, all with the same email address. I am on a Linux server so also have left the Email Transport Method on "sendmail". Any ideas what could be going wrong? Thanks!
web-project Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 I am on a Linux server so also have left the Email Transport Method on "sendmail". have you tested the php mail() function on your server? Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
Banana Man Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 Yes, just tried it now and the email went through fine!
♥ecartz Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Linefeeds are set to LF? Use MIME and Check DNS are set to false? Send E-Mails is set to true? Did your mail function call use the same mail sender and recipient as you are trying in osCommerce? Have you tried registering a test account that uses the same email address as the store and using the form from that account? Have you tried sending an email from the admin to the customer account? What happens on create account or when placing an order? Have you looked at http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/339287-email-issues/ to see if any of those issues are what you are experiencing? Always back up before making changes.
