timmle Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I initially wanted to have a range of product attributes which were dependent on previous selections on the same product. So if the user requested in Size for instance - Large, in the next attribute Color for instance, it would display Red, Green and Yellow. I wanted this to change the color output depending on what size they selected. Apparently there no contributions or anyone who knows how to do this right now so i can only think of the following way to do it. What i would like to achieve... Once the customer chooses their product, when they press "Add To Cart" it adds the product to the cart, but then redirects them to a different category. (I Will hide this category so the only way to get to it will be knowing the link address) Once they arrive at this category they will then choose their next option from a list - with an attribute on that item. My question is... How would i make it so that when they click on the add to cart button it redirects them to a different category. (I know the category page link, and can retain Session ID) Problems I Forsee That if i replace the add to cart link with this add to cart and redirect command, that because this will be applied to all products i will not be able to say; In Stage 1 - Once Press Add To Cart - Add To Cart + Redirect to Stage 2 In Stage 2 - Once Press Add To Cart - Add To Cart + Send To Cart. Can i do this? As people have been looking for a long time for a complex product attribution, this is the only method i can think of that will work, can anyone tell me if this is a long shot?
