poc301 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I am working on a website for my sister, which includes a shopping cart area to sell her various merchandise. The page I am doing is HTML with a bit of CSS for formatting. Overall it is a rather basic website. Her storefront will have a few items in it, and she wants some to randomly appear in a little box on her main website so that when people visit her main website, they can see some of the items she is selling in her storefront. Is there a way to do this? I am not very familiar with PHP, so I have no idea where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bill
web-project Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 you can display shop items on other pages of your website the items via SSI or parse the php script. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
Guest Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 You can add an image for a product and have it link to the osC page, that is easy. But you will have to keep the osCsid or customers will loose their cart when viewing the osC pages and then going to a non osC page. This might help with that. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/187263-tip-for-putting-pages-in-a-subdirectory/. Look in the Tips and Tricks section, there might be a thread more specific to your needs, or search.
