Tricky Shipping values for Table Rate

I have my oscommerce ready to launch, but Im stuck currently with my shipping issue. I been trying to figure this out for over a week now and still can't figure it out.

We have only about 15 items that we sell. The shipping includes the tax. The items usually will be $10,15, or 25, in shipping rate. So our highest rate is $25.00 so, I set that particular item weight to 25 pounds. The next highest is $15.00 so I set that Item to 15 pounds.

These are the values that I have set in the the Table Rate.

10:10.00,15:15.00,20:20.00,25:25.00,50:50.00,100:100.00,1000:250000.00

The problem:

When I go to test it on an item that is set to 10 pounds, it gives me the shipping rate of $15.00.

Can anyone please help me. Are my values totally wrong? Im on my last leg before I can launch this site.

Regards,

I take it you figured out the previous problem with your shipping always being zero?

The first place to look if you are getting a higher than expected charge, is in the tare weight.

admin/configuration/shipping/packaging-tare weight.

Tim,

this should be so simple. Why aren't my values working. A 10 pound item shoud be 10 dollars with the values I have in the table rate.

10:10.00,15:15.00,20:20.00,25:25.00,50:50.00,100:100.00,1000:250000.00

Do you know any problem that can solve my issue? Please help.

At the end of your last post you were being charged zero. What did you do to change that?

What are your settings in admin-configuration-shipping/packaging ?

Tim,

Enter Maximum Package Weight shop 100

Package Tare weight. 0

Larger packages - percentage increase. 0

Problem.

On an item that weight 25 lbs, the rate is being charge $15.00. Should be charge $25.00

On an item that weighs 10lbs, the rate is being charge $15.00. Should be charge $10.00

On combo items of 25lbs & 10lbs, the rate charge is $25.00. Should be charge 35.00

On Combo Items of 2 10 pounds item, the rate is $20.00. Which is correct

2 25 pounds items, the rate is $15.00, should be $50.00

The common denominator is 15.

at this value in the table rate 10:10.00,15:15.00,20:20.00,25:25.00,50:50.00,100:100.00,1000:250000.00

Anymore suggestions?

Benny,

I am sorry, but I have run out of ideas. Why your table works on 20 pounds but not on any other has me stumped.

Tim,

do you know of any other people that can help me with this? Logically, this should work. Why is the $15.00 rate keep showing up.

There are plenty of people on this forum that are more knowledgeable than I am. If they know the answer, I am sure they will reply.

Ok Tim,

with these values, Im getting results if it single items.

7:7.00,8:8.00,9:9.00,10:10.00,15:15.00,20:20.00,25:25.00,50:50.00,100:100.00

10lb item = $10.00, 15lbs = $15.00, 25lbs item=25

2 x 10lbs items= $20.00 or any same weight items works great.

Problem:

When I do a combo of two different weights items 15lbs item and 25 lbs item = $50.00, should be $40.00

It's charging like $10.00 more..

We are getting closer.

With that table, a 40 pound box should be $50.00

The table says any package over 25 up to 50 is $50.

Tim,

Thanks for the help. I figured it out. I had to add values of any combinations into the table. And it works.

Thanks for all the help.
