justaguyinla Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 I purchased a web store from Roldans and I would like to set it up on a WYSIWYG basis. However, when I go to my "back office" and click on "define main page" I get a block of HTML that I cannot decipher. I have contacted the company many times, no response, no help. Can anyone help me? I have to work from my home as I am a disabled veteran and I have no other recourse.
Guest Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 I do not know what Roldans is so I can not help you with their software. Define Mainpage is an osCommerce addon that lets you "define" the look of your mainpage from your admin area. But to use it and set up your main page area you will need to at least know HTML (google will help with a good HTML resource for you). To use osCommerce you will also need to know some PHP and know enough about the software to secure your site and get into the code enough to change the look and feel to your desired liking. osCommerce is NOT a WYSIWYG package so getting your hands dirty in the HTML and the PHP is the only way to make it work. The Basics for design thread is a good place to start.
