New orders not showing up in admin backend

I've been using OSC for several years, but had to move to a new webhost, and so have a new install. I'm not a techie, so I had others help me import my database into the new install. It seemed to be working, but now it's doing a few odd things:

1) Most troubling and annoying: I receive an email indicating a new order has been placed, but when I login to the admin backend, the order is not listed there at all! Since the email lists what's been ordered, and user's name, phone, etc. I can call them and ask for credit card info... But this is obviously not acceptable.

2) Perhaps related, maybe not: if a user has forgotten their password and asks to retrieve it, the email it sends has a blank space where it should tell them their new password...

I sure hope someone can help me figure this out! My website is www.changingworld.com/ (www.changingworld.com/catalog/ for the OSC).

Thanks,

Can customers still create accounts, and send you emails via the contact us page?

Nic

Yes, the customers set up accounts and send us emails just fine. We get the orders they have placed, which come to us by email. But they do not have any of the sensitive details (as the emails should not have.) We can look back at their account set-up to see their email and phone number, but there appears to be no order stored on the site, where it is supposed to be. That is where we usually can go look up the sensitive data and thus process the order.

Sorry for the long delay. This is a really annoying puzzle. Any ideas how to resolve it?

I am having the same problem. Just migrated to a new host, orders can be placed successfully on the front-end site. The order does not show up in the DB or the admin site.

Any ideas?
