cyberlaban Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Hi, I hope someone can help me with a problem I have when clicking on the "For more information, please visit this products webpage.", I would like to use this link to direct to a external product information site, but when adding the address and then testing it I get redirected back to my own index page. The link works when I add the article (and the link) in the catalog, but when testing it in on the live site I get directed to my own site. I have also found out that if I write: www.xxxxx.com it works as supposed but when adding a more "detailed" address the error appear, e.g. www.xxxxx.com/product_site.php. Hope someone have a suggestion on how to solve this. Thank you. Best Regards Espen

cyberlaban Posted October 4, 2009 Author Posted October 4, 2009 What version store is it, is it a template? Indicates an issue with redirect.php what url do u see when u mouse over the link? The url looks like this when I mouse over: http://vvsland.no/redirect.php?action=url&...ndakitchen1aspx Version: Oscommerce 2.2 RC2a The only thing I have added from the original setup is Language pack and security. It's strange that it works when I add it and test it trough the preview in admin site, but when testing it "live" it only works whit "short" url Like: www.oras.com and not e.g. www.oras.com/test.php. Appriciate all help/suggestions I can get on this one. Thanks :) Best Regards Espen
spooks Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 There is no issue with the link, it works in the preview as thats a direct link, the live store passes the link through redirect.php, your issue is iether there, or with htaccess u have added, try removing that & retesting. Hotclutch Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 The only thing I have added from the original setup is Language pack and security. Which security add-ons did you make? If you added FWR Security Pro you will have to add redirect.php to the exclusion list in Admin, otherwise you will have this behaviour you are describing.
