Choosing which products you see on the front page

I am wondering if it is possible to choose which products are viewed on the front page of my oscommerce website? Whenever I add a new product to the site, it

puts it on the front page, but I want to be able to select the best products for the front page, not the most recently added - is this possible anyone?
