part number field for products

Hello, is there any contribution that would allow me to add unique part number to each product? I would like to see this part number also in email notification. I tried to opperate with product attributes, but I cannot make it come to life. Can you suggest me any solutions please?

HI Steve,

thank you for the idea. I had already changed model number to another parameter, to volume. As it is shop with wine, I can change now weight to part number. A little bit confusing :rolleyes::) , and I will hope that weight will not be required, and it is an advice for the future :)

I would recomend that you change volume "back" to part no as that is what the whole system uses.

 

Then change wt to volume. You might even be able to calculate carriage by "volume".
