Hi,

im trying to create an online store with electronics spare parts only.. and when it comes to spare parts their are so many options to look for before placing the order.

i mean which item customer are looking for, which company, for what model and stuff

for example if you look at :

http://www.partmaster.co.uk or

http://www.argosspares.co.uk

if you can check these websites in little bit of details.. please tell me if oscommerce can be used and designed in such way???

can we have same functionalities like the above websites on oscommerce??

looking forward to hear from you guys soon.

thanks alot.

cheers

Awais,

I may be mistaken but the first URL you listed LOOKS to be an OSC template. Therefore, assuming that...........you can create a similar site using OSC.

Both sites are /cgi-bin/home.pl, which means they are written in Perl (osC is PHP). They also don't have the osC copyright, so either they're illegal installations, or more likely they're not osC.

That said, I don't think it would be too difficult to make your front page look in osC a lot like theirs. I didn't look any deeper. As to "so many options", could you be more specific about what functionality you're looking for? If you're looking for product attributes (color, length, gauge of wire, for example), there are some "product attribute" contributions that you might look through. I've never used any of them, so I can't tell you for sure if they would do what you want.
