I just set up CRE Messenger to use and found out that it is not longer active. ChatStat was suggested to me by CRE but we are looking for a lower priced solution if possible. It would probably not be used 24/7 and just at times like the holiday season and certain times of the days but I want an option for customers to be able to select to Chat and for it to alert someone on our end that a customer is requesting chat. We don't need any of the fancy bells and whistles.

We don't need any of the fancy bells and whistles. I use Volusion Chat, they have a free and paid service. I am currently just learning osCommerce and PHP, but am always willing to help out. Have successfully installed the following: Discount Coupons, UPS shipping module, Ultimate SEO URL's, Easy Meta Tags for SEO 1.0, Google XML Sitemap SEO v1.3, HTML Editor for Email and Newsletters.

It took only half an hour to set the system up. (including reading the documentation). It took about half a day to set everything up coz I spent lots of time on creating custom pictures for a more professional look. The easiest to use and setup by far. The downside is that the client (not Server) program and chat works only on a windows PC. - The Jackal
