Guest Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Hello People, All help in relation to this would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ok so here it goes. Some background information.... I will be using osCommerce Manager by Magnetic One to run my oscommerce store. http://oscommerce-manager.com/PAGE-1-oscom...nager-home.html PROBLEM 1...Automating Pricing Output Via Formula and CSV (approx. 3,500 Products) I have two core wholesale suppliers that deliver me csv files to my store via email account. (they give me a spit out of their warehouse in the following csv format.....Product Code....Product Description.....Product Price Ex Works..... osCommerce Manager works grand at importing the latest stock levels to my store. I then will manually catagorise them initially and then automatically update the stock levels via customised template csv import. If someone can't come up with a solution to automate the pricing based on a formula I will have to update the pricing once a week manually by price bands. ( we do not want to utilise a standard margin practice as some of the cost on the items is very low...for example....a dvd coming in to me at €2.10...a margin of 20% won't even cover the credit card charge...so I would like to add a fixed margin to these items...for example...add a fixed margin of €1 for items under €10 etc. add €2 for items between €10 and €20 and so on...this margin will be fixed in addittion to a credit card allowance and then multipy the end price by the Irish VAT rate (21.5%) Formula Below: ((Cost Price + Fixed Margin + Credit Card Allowance) *VAT Rate) + (Shipping Price of item) = End Price Consumer Pays Does anyone know if there is the ability to somehow add this formula to the all of the prices inputted into the osCommerce system via the CSV file??? PROBLEM 2....Product Titles in the CSV files from Suppliers is not good enough. The product titles in the CSV files are 'Shit' to be honest...Is a possible soloution to map the product model number in the csv file as the product title in osCommerce and then manually input a proper product title into osCommerce store so it is picked up by Google effectively....The reason why I ask this is because my suppliers are big and won't change their product titles in thier CSV's for me alone...I am asking to map the product titles in osCommerce to the product model number in the csv file so everytime I update the website with the lastest sock levels in the csv it won't change all the product titles back to the shit titles in the original csv files... PROBLEM 3......Free Domestic Shipping (included in displayed product price) and international shipping surcharge... Ok....I would like to offer Free domestic shipping on my website.....The shipping cost will be included in the displayed price on the website...therefore no hidden charges when you get to the checkout screen....I do not want to simply deduct the shipping charge as a discount in the checkout screen or whatever...it has to be displayed in the original price quoted on the website.... so my question is....how can I manually set a shipping cost for each individual item (based on region) which is then added on automatically (as in formula above) as the product cost pricing from my wholesalers in to me changes??? Then if I get a international customer I would simply like to charge them a surcharge which is made up of (international shipping charge for thier country - domestic shipping charge already included in displayed prices)... That is pretty much everything.... All advice and comments would be greatly appreciated... Thanks again, Andrew
