johnaaronrose Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 After installation, opening web page displays OK except that images are not being displayed. For example, the image to the left of the 'Error Messages' bold text has a location of http://www.dial2000computing.dyndns.org/ca...s/default/1.gif. I'm using dyndns.org to refer to my locally installed osCommerce. My /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/010-dial2000computing points to /var/www/dial2000computing/htdocs/catalog/. The catalog directory contains the 1.gif file. PS I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty. Regards, John

[error] [client 192.168.2.72] File does not exist: /var/www/dial2000computing/htdocs/catalog/favicon.ico client ip is correct. Problem appears to be that non-existent directory (/var/www/dial2000computing/htdocs/catalog/catalog) is being sought i.e. extra sub-directory of catalog is specified. Any ideas?
johnaaronrose Posted October 19, 2009 Author Posted October 19, 2009 Ubuntu Jaunty /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/010-dial2000computing file is: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName www.dial2000computing.dyndns.org ServerAlias dial2000computing.dyndns.org DocumentRoot /var/www/dial2000computing/htdocs/catalog/ ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/dial2000computing_error.log <Directory /var/www/dial2000computing/htdocs/catalog/> Options Indexes Order allow, deny Allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost> As I said, it's only the gif files that don't get loaded. The image location (in the opening web page) shows each image correctly e.g. http://www.dial2000computing.dyndns.org/catalog/images/infobox/corner_right_left.gif

johnaaronrose Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 bnewgent, Thanks for your suggestion. However, before I saw it, I re-installed osCommerce. Images are now OK: it's a mystery why.
