Castaway Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I have product images that are sometime in portrait format and sometimes in landscape format. However they all adjust automatically to the default size, resulting in distortion. My question is, how can I override the settings so that they appear in true proportion?
♥ecartz Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 There are several things that you could do. You could install a thumbnailer contribution that handles resizing the images for you. You could try in admin >> Configuration >> Images, set Calculate Image Size to true and set the width blank for the images. This should give all images the same height but varying widths, so they don't appear smushed. This might not work well with a mix of landscape and portrait. If you have a good image editing program, you can edit the images and add padding to make them the right size. Always back up before making changes.

Many thanks for your help.
