Help with index page

Im a newbie to Ocommerce so please bare with me. My friend's webmaster is on vacation and so my friend asked me to make some changes to the layout. I figured most of it, but I can't find which page to modify for the section that he wants to change. I thought it was the index.php, but's it's not.

Look in includes/column_left.php or includes/boxes/information.php

That's the correct page to find the image source, but where do you change the links?
