Category with no Products Showing

I added a new category, then 12 products which show listed under the category but do not appear in the store. Category shows 1 with 0 products. How do I get those products in that category?

Do the products show a status of active (the green dot)? Is the date expected in the past?

 

Do you have caching turned on in admin >> Configuration >> Cache? If so, have you tried turning it off?

 

Are you sure that you don't have two categories with the same name, where one is empty and the other has twelve products?
