netcostpro Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 quick question, is there a limit on how many products i can add to the store? the problem is i have 6077 products so far and only 5991 are showing ? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated..... p.s. like the description says my host are not helping, they are blaming everything except themselves.....

No limit that im aware of of. May depend on your mySQL database with your host? Just my 2cents..
MrPhil Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 There's no built-in limit on the number of products. I've heard of people running osC stores with many more than 6000 products. Are you able to add more products, but they just don't display? (You might be able to tell by browsing the products table in phpMyAdmin.) It's possible you're bumping into some host limit on MySQL database size, or with more than 5991 products, you are hitting some process time limit while processing your database or the page display code. Can you ask your host if you're hitting any process time limits? They ought to be tracking such usage. Will they let you increase your time limits (possibly via php.ini file)? If you're on an el-cheapo host, your only solution may be to switch to a more capable hosting service.
