cycabell Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I am new to programming and OSCommerce and honestly know nothing about setting it up. My boss has told me to do this, so I'm doing it! We will be using a third-party vendor to display their products in our store (we will be pointing to their database), but we will use OSCommerce to process the payments through our gateway. The vendor say that they have done this before, but they have not been very descriptive of how they have done it. What I've been told so far is: "The cart needs to be modified to allow products not in it's database into the shopping cart. The way we modified it was added a table for non OS Commerce products then went through all the sub routines of the cart where it searches for products in its cart to check to see if there are any in the table. Also anywhere that it displays products in its cart to display products in that table." Can anyone tell me if they've done this before, and if so, how do I get it set up on our site?
