dankos Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Hello! I would like to sale items on my web with download or postal delivery options. In case of postal delivery I would like to charge the customer, but how exactly should I do it? When I`m enabling shipping module it is adding shipping cost also to downloading models. Please help to solve it.

I assume it will be something like putting some code in the checkout shipping module as it processes the order array to check if the order item is a downloadable or not, and telling it the shipping cost is to be zero if it is. Ben Nevis Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Thinking about this more, if the products are all downloadable you should not be taken to the shipping page at all -this part works fine for me. If they are all physical then of course you want the shipping charges on the order. The difficulty comes for me when the cart contains a mixture of downloadable and physical products - when I applied a per-item charge charge it was applied to my downloadables as well. If the shipping depends on an item's weight (which I haven't tried yet) then I guess there wouldn't to be a charge for your downloadables anyway so I guess it's only a problem for particular shipping modules.
