Hi there,

I used a script that was installed very quickly from my host server so I didn't really have to do much. It looked fine. I went to log in to admin and the user and p/w are correct, but it just returned back to the admin log in screen. Entered it again, no joy. Tried using a different user name to test it and it said user name wrong - so I was correct in that original user/pw were right - it's just not doing anything. I looked around these forums for the solution and people mentioned catalogue and I can't find that folder, so either that file is missing or simply called something else. I'm using version 2x2 I think. (Not the newer one.)

So I thought the store front looks fine (even though I can't do anything at this stage) and thought I'd test it. I am unable to create a user account either. It tells me I need to complete all the fields again.

It appears something is not connecting to the database but I get no warning errors indicating there is an issue.

Any ideas?

So far, all I can do is try to modify the layout of the store as I do not even know what the admin control panel looks like.

The options I get are administration, online catalogue and support site, but logging in, just takes me back to the same intro page - does not state any errors. But I know somethng is not connecting somewhere. Hope that helps.

It seems it was the version of PHP. I had set it to 6 which is still in beta. I haven't used my mysql and php scripting for a while.

Now it appears to be working and I can start editing the variables properly.
