OSCommerce Updates?

Hi,

 

I have had my shop running for 9 months now quite successfully. I am running OSCommerce version 2.2 rc2. Do I need to upgrade to the latest version 2.2rc2a? If so could anyone direct me to instructions on how to do this as I cant seem to find out. Any advice much appreciated : )

Inside the zip file there is a ChangeLog which lists the changes and improvements between 2.2 RC2, and.2 RC2a

There is also a upgrade.html file included which details all the changes to make to upgrade your code to the latest version

Having taken a look at the changelog it seems that there are only two files to update - is this correct? I need to upgrade from RC2 to RC2a

 

I cant quite work out which files I need to overwrite, having looked at the upgrade.html file this seems to be upgrading from RC1 to RC2 and theres no mention of anything about RC2a.

 

Can anyone give me any guidance to the specific files I need to overwrite?

Due to two bugs that were introduced with 2.2 RC2, it has been repackaged as

2.2 RC2a with the following changes:

 

* The Administration Tool -> Backup Manager -> Restoration routine failed on

PHP <5 servers due to the use of stripos(). A compatibility function has

been added to fix this.

* The reference of $_SESSION in the tep_session_is_registered() function

produces a PHP warning when the session has not been started (ie, for search

engine spiders). This has been fixed by checking if $_SESSION is set.

I think I have found the updates, I have changed the code on these two pages and im guessing this means that im now upgraded to V2.2RC2a? :blink:
