i have put the files where they are supposed to be? in the main html directory where the website lives? i have read the install guide but it is not written so the idiot (ME) can read it.

when i look at trying to install the catalog or the admin module there is no install.php. I downloaded the latest version from the website earlier this week so i believe i have every thing needed.

HELP!!!......

nope no install directory. i have read through the folders about 6 times thinking i have missed somthing.

in the distribution this install file is located in

catalog/catalog/install/

now if you uploaded it in a differant order it will be in a differant spot, but the install dir is inside the catalog dir.

you have to pardon the rudeness around here, some people seem to forget that ESP (pshyic powers) are not real, and every dont deos not have them  they also have strange definations of commercal advertising but that is a hole other ball of wax

i am trying to install this storefront. It is the Step 1 database import.

to answer r siegel i have been a member for all of 5 days all of which i have spent an average of 14 hours a day trying to make the website hum. I apologize to you and every one else for not spending every moment of that time here reading everything you have been privvy to. I know newbies might be irritating but you know what us newbies rate the product by the support given. if you are on the team that is creating this project you are a poor spokesman.

I thank every one that is trying to help me

My reply wasn't meant for you Jay. Just be patient and read, read , read. OSC is easy but it takes some time to get a handle on how it all fits together. Have fun! 8)

Hi Jay (from another Jay): :D

This is not intuitive, but it can be done with some trial and ERRORS!! Please read what happened to ME:

(several points/possibilities are left out of the OSCdox, I LUCKED out to figure this out)

This system is definitely worth the trouble, it's FREE!! Just look at how SMART you will feel if you can get this thing to WORK!! I'm stuck on the product upload now..... :x

The BIGGEST favor you can do yourself on here is to use the SEARCH key before every question you post, if there is no result, then ask.

Obey the rules of the forum!

Some find this hard, hmmm... are they foolish I wonder??

Everyone will help here if they can, but try to help yourself by searching first.

And yes OSCDOX has been mention a few million times on here, and are very good for the newbie.
