equilla
Hi, fellow brit here (Bristol) so I'd thought I'd dive in as it's quiet. You need to have a MySQL database provided within your package from your ISP in order to use OScommerce (assuming your webspace is with an ISP and not hosted by yourself). For instance with my oneandone package I get one MySQL database, so I have used that. This is where all of the data (and there is a lot of it!) will be stored. Guest
I had similar problems. 1. Create a database and use this password and user 2. Add user to database (I did not, so...) 3. Try using "localhost"
CC
Hi mate, i got hosting and i got a mysql! I input my details and it comes up withHost 'server1.pcs-net.com' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server PLz help someone Dont forget your hosts my be more useful here when it comes to anything relating to them, such as their servers and mySQL connections. Some ISP's have the SQL set on a seperate server to their hosting servers. This can prove difficult. Not impossible, but more hassle. 9/10 people are just missing or have incorrect info in their config file. CC.
