Hi!

I have uploaded OSCommerce 2.2 to my RedHat 8 / MySQL 3.23.52 machine.

I have created a database (using MySQL Control Centre), created a user, and assigned it to the database.

I have chmod 777 the two configure.php files in the includes directory of the catalog and admin directories.

I then goto http://mymachine/blueprint/catalog/install/install.php

and fill in the details.

When I click the Continue button I get the screen

osCommerce

Open Source E-Commerce Solutions

New Install

Step 1: Database Import

with no error messages, but nothing else happens.

Anyone have any ideas where I'm going wrong? I've tried umpteen permutations of the parameters to no avail.

BTW, this is the snapshot from 14/02/2003

Cheers

I've just tried to install PHPbb, and it's telling me that my PHP config doesn't support MySQL database.

I'd say this is the reason why osCommerce isnt working as expected, but I'm not sure what I need to change in the /etc/php.ini file to make it work...I'm looking into it further now...

Cheers

I didn't have the PHP-MYSQL installed and enabled (the mysql.so library file for PHP)

Doh!

Cheers
