cgh
After browsing through several forums and doing countless searches, I now find myself posting what must be a simple question. What options are available for sending orders to a 3rd party fulfillment center? Ideally, I'd like to have osCommerce export new orders on a regular (specified) schedule and change their order status to 'process.' I would then send this exported (delimited file) to my fulfillment center for shipping. My fulfillment center would return a delimited file with tracking #'s for me to import into osCommerce which would in turn change the order status to 'shipped' or complete or something. Are there any contributions that do this? If not, how to people handle 3rd party fulfillment? Thanks in advance for any help. - Cory (chaney@axis41.com)
hobbzilla
If you are wanting something automated, you will need to setup a cron job. You can also handle this by simply using the "Send Extra Order Emails To" under Admin->Configuration->My Store As far as a contrib.. I haven't run across one. I will be eventually setting up a cron job that will export all orders since the last time the cron job was ran to output orders into a delimited text file ready for importing into my accounting software via ftp. I will make a contrib once available.
