iknownothing
Hi. I thought it would be a good idea to write a pdf document with step by step instructions for the beginner on how to administer their online oscommerce store. The manual would be a simple step by step.... "click on ______ and then click____ to add a product" etc. etc. I searched if there was such a manual already in existence but I couldn't find one so My question is that does one exist? and would you think there would be sufficient need for one considering the amount of work? Thank You.
multimixer
There are some results in google, I didn't check them out I think the best manual is right here, this forum, since osc is open to many configurations, depending on eah ones needs, there is not one and only way to set it up My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
iknownothing
There are some results in google, I didn't check them out I think the best manual is right here, this forum, since osc is open to many configurations, depending on eah ones needs, there is not one and only way to set it up Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated. I have installed some oscommerce stores for several people and its the blank stares when I show them how to update there shop or any task in the administration area that has prompted me to do a very simple step by step process written manual that a person can easily read and follow as they read. I agree that the oscommerce forum is the best place but as there are still alot of people out there that are not so computer literate (myself included for certain tasks) but still wish to sell online then they will not or maybe cannot use these forums. Using a help forum can be a daunting and public task for some people where as downloading a pdf will make it a private and a learn as you read affair. At no stage will any language become technical as it will contain a "click the products button" instructions. Would you not agree? Thank You. iknownothing
Hello, There is a website that have spent over a thousand hour to prepare over 120 free osCommerce video tutorials. This is very helpful to the beginners. You may take a look at: http://www.oscommerce-template-easy.com/os...als-center.html Best regards Hi Alex. I had a look at the site you linked in your reply and thank you for that. It seems that they have covered already what I had intended to do so I will just diirect people to this website rather than try to produce a manual. Thanks again. multimixer
Would you not agree? I didn't know the purpose of this .pdf, in the meaning you say it, then yes, I agree. But I also think that there must be enough "user manuals" circulating, maybe just not online My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel
