mush Posted July 13, 2009 Share Posted July 13, 2009 hi guys, I have just installed "osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2" . Everything is fine so far but i have just one question. Whenever i try to access "Administration Tool" (http://mysite.com/catalog/admin/index.php) , it doesnot prompt for any admin password and during installation this site didnot ask me anything about any admin account. there is one default entry(having encrypted password) in database. so what should i do now for the security of "Administration Tool" ? In downloaded folder(xen-commerce-1), there are many sub folders and im using folder "oscommerce-2.2ms2-060817" for this website. ♥ecartz Posted July 13, 2009 Share Posted July 13, 2009 The best thing would be to start over and install 2.2 RC2a. At the top of the page, there is a menu for Solutions. In it there is a choice for Downloads. Pick 2.2 RC2a. Then just go through the same install steps. There are contributions for protecting Milestone 2, but it's an obsolete version. This is not the only feature that is in the release candidate but not the older version. Not to mention bugfixes. Always back up before making changes.
