If this were a standard osCommerce install, I'd send you to the language files (and that still may work here). In regards to password protecting the admin, there are still contributions for that (newer versions set up password protection during the install). Or you could do it in cPanel if your host comes with it. I think that one of the contributions explains how to do it with htpassword (manually doing what cPanel does for you).
