CroonerJE Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 My website sells music arrangements and sheet music for big band. It would be terrific to have a field when adding new products/music titles that would allow "additional html" for embedding a small, thumbnail style flash music player... kind of like the way youtube html coding works. I would create the small music player (maybe 100px wide x 30px tall) using my mp3 to flash creator and drop in the html code when adding the new product, or even allowing going back to an existing product and adding or editing. Customers often desire to hear the quality of the sheet music transcription or hear the arrangement firsthand. THOUGHTS???
♥ecartz Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 This kind of thing seems to be the intent of the Product Attributes system in 3.0 (what is called product attributes in 2.2 is called product variants in 3.0). The new Product Attributes system will support the addition of arbitrary fields to the product record. You could then create a Product Attribute class called something like "musical demo" and if present for a product, you could modify the product info page to display the flash player. Always back up before making changes.
CroonerJE Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 Hmmm... I will look into that. THANKS!
