LordPG Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I just downloaded a Chat contribution and one of the installation steps is to 3. Create a new database (like chat) and run chat.sql into it. How do I create a new database and run that file into it? Thanks! Quote
multimixer Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 You create a new database in phpMyAdmin or via the cpanel of your hosting account Quote My community profile | Template system for osCommerce - New: Responsive | Feedback channel

LordPG Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 Hi, I hope you can help me with this too. The last steps are: 4. Update file main/configure.php 5. Update file catalog/includes/boxes/chat.php How do I update a file? Do i have to grab the configure.php and the chat.php that came in the contribution and put them in the place of the ones that came originally with OSCommerce? Quote
LordPG Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 Come on, please, I am new to this and really need help! Or does it mean that I need to copy the code of the configure.php in the contribution into the original file? Quote
multimixer Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) Well, "update" can have different meanings, I don't know exactly what the instructions here mean, but maybe the meaning is, to let the files know, whats your new database name is?
