Guest Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I have purchased a SSL cert to use on my shared hosting acct. I have to put the files from OSC in the SSL file on my FTP that I want secure. Can anyone assist me by telling which files to put into the SSL file from my OSC 2.2.
♥ecartz Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 There is no real point in not putting all the files on SSL. You need all the includes. You should put the admin on SSL (you can actually take the admin off the regular site). You might be able to get away without putting a couple of files in the catalog folder on SSL, but even that's questionable. For example, you need the index.php to be on SSL because you will occasionally get redirected to it from an SSL page. Similarly, you need all the images on SSL (which is something of a pain) because they may display on the index.php page. It would be easier to enumerate the files that you don't need in the non-SSL folder, basically all those that have checkout, address, or account in their name, plus login.php. Even there, I think it's more of a pain to track what you don't need than it would be to just copy them over. Always back up before making changes.
Guest Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I tried to just put one copy in the files and one not of all the files in OSC 2.2. It did not work. It work all the way up to the payment process then it just kept kicking me back to the home page. I am in a shared hosting acct so I have to use the URL supplied by the hosting company not my url for the SSL file so I have to leave some files out for search engines. I just can not figure out how to structure it. Any Ideas????
