garnet Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Hi all I have installed advanced search with attributes contrib. It was working fine at the beggining, but now it stopped working correctly. Here's what happened. I have 4 attributes for each item. Before if I selected one or more attrib. it found the item(s) having these attribute(s). Now, it doesnt matter what do I select for search criteria - it gives me a list of all items in the store. Strangely enough if I dont type anything in the quick search box, I still get all items list. Before it was giving an error message that the box mustnt be empty and didnt return items. I tested this on an unmoded copy of OSC and it gives the error message OK.I have modified my OSC heavily so not sure what stops it working OK. test it here www.kupuvalnik.com/index.php Any help appreciated. garnet Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 Just one thing - I used to have only 1 attribute with a lot of values (200). So I created 3 more attributes and split the values into 4 using mysqladmin, not the osc admin. It seems it has stopped working after that. It shows me 4 attributes and they are populated correctly, but always returns all results. OSC beginner
garnet Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 Yeah, it has something to do with me splitting attributes into 4. I did create a test arrtib and some values for it. I attached this attrib/values to 3 of my products and the search finds them OK - i.e. returns 3. How can I fix it for the old ones? OSC beginner
garnet Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 Doesnt enyone know how to fix this??? OSC beginner
spooks Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 put back the original advanced search results file Sam Remember, What you think I ment may not be what I thought I ment when I said it. garnet Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 put back the original advanced search results file the original advanced_search file doesnt have attribute searches. Now I have 200 option values into 4 options but they dont work with attribute search. Only the 5th option (with 25 values work). So I guess I have to redefine all 200 in 4 newly created option names, and that is what I want to avoid. OSC beginner
garnet Posted July 24, 2009 Author Posted July 24, 2009 Does anybody have a problem with searching for a specific word in the item description? I try on a word that i know it is there and it returns either all items in my store or none. But not the one(s) with the word in the descrioption only. OSC beginner
