wolfmann999
Hi, I am creating a store for the US market only for a US based company. Before, I have only created stores for the UK for UK companies. I appears that sales tax is only charged when the customer is from the home state of the where the business is based. Is this correct? If this is correct, it would be useful to have a drop down containing all US states on the create_account.php page, so that I can identity when the customer is from the the home state and therefore charge the appropriate sales tax. Can anybody point me in the direction of a contribution or some SQL that would do this for me? Any help much appreciated. Regards, wolfmann

Regards, wolfmann In the US, tax is charged to the customer if the product's possession is taken in the state of the business selling the product. Stock OSCommerce should have the states already in the database.
