clrob11
Hi, Hope someone can help? I am using the paypal checkout express module. It all works fine no problems with the functionality. However when I do a transaction on the Paypal side of things there is no product information. I can see how much was paid and customer details. But no product details. I can see the details in the normal OSC admin area so it is not to much of a bind but it would make it a bit easier to marry up the orders with the payments. Any one know how to add this? Thanks Quote Better to be looked over than overlooked!

Thanks I've installed Paypal express, and it works as you say. This is a feature, not a bug. When you integrate Paypal Express, it takes the customer to the Paypal site SOLELY to approve the upcoming order, and to indicate the method of Paypal payment (credit card, from their bank, from their balance, etc). ONLY WHEN you return to your store and hit the CONFIRM ORDER button do you see all the products and shipping details. That is my understanding of how this works. You will not see these details at Paypal. You see them before you go to Paypal, and after you return from Paypal. Hopefully others will correct me if I am wrong, but that is how it works on my site. I integrated this function about 3 weeks ago from the latest release. Cheryl

So it's obviously just me looking for something that does not exsist. Thanks to all for thier help. Quote Better to be looked over than overlooked! gates2u
Yes, I understand, because I had exactly the same question you did. Hopefully, this new business flow with Paypal will not confuse customers. Paypal insists this method has a better conversion rate, but I guess we'll see! I certainly found it easier to integrate than the other solutions. And, I think it is a cleaner interface -- not repeating all the same stuff at Paypal before you confirm your order. I have also tested it to ensure that if you go to Paypal, return to your site, and DONT HIT CONFIRM ORDER, that the order is NOT processed at Paypal. That is very important! gates2u
You can see this is how it works by reviewing the Paypal support pages here: https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_ren...CGettingStarted This is shown in the form of a block diagram. The blocks that are "glowing orange" are PAYPAL pages. Paypal wanted to create a solution that keeps your customers on your site, so I think they've done an effective job of that. ed.advertise
Hello, I just integrated paypal express checkout module to the shop. It is working, payment is made. BUT, i don't see the order anywhere, i think it should be in the admin-orders, or not? In the shop admin, there are no informations about the order. On paypal I can see, how much the custommer payed. But i can't see, what did he ordered. Is this normal or it doesn't work properly?
