Hello there.

Im pretty new with osCommerce, and Im working to move a VP-ASP store to osCommerce.

Since the product list is somewhat big (almost 2000 products), manual input of the products through the admin area is not a viable option.

So, in order to work properly, first, wich tables I have to import (products, categories, etc)? Or even better, is there a tool that may halp me to do it?

Well, that's it for the moment, hope someone can help with this

very easy to import, if you know very well 2 databases, as you can write the script for this job, which will do the job.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

There is also a tool called Easy Populate that uploads a CSV file and loads products into the database. If you decide that it would be easier to roll your own, you might still look at it to see the table structure.

Always back up before making changes.
