Hello,

I am fairly new to using OSC and I have been trying to find out if there is an easier way for me to update my shop's Products that are offered as they are products that are changing every couple of Hours / Daily.

If anyone know's how best to go about adding Excel Spread Sheet(s) that are full of product details and detailed specifications and images into OSC as a Bulk Upload without manually going through the whole Admin -> Catalog/Products for each item can you please let me know.

At the moment I am recieving a mix of data from my suppliers in a semi-organized way's, well most of the sperad sheets share the same coloum names, etc, I just need an import page and /or function where I can just upload this to OSC ready for me to finally verify the uploaded data and then enable it for viewing in the Front-end eShop...

Could parsing the data and flip it into XML -> RSS be the answer to this problem that I am facing? For a trouble free update to my catalogue.

Any an all suggestions welcomed.

FYI - I am using OSC RC2a under a SSL Secured connection I have access to SSH via my webhost control panel. The only issues that I have is that I cannot access my MySQL Database from my localhost machine so it is impossible for me to add data to MySQL without first putting it through my Webhosts Data Base Tools first. If this was not the case regarding none-direct access to the backend DB then perhaps it would be less of an issue i guess...?

Many Thanks in advanced,

Majika..!

Majika..!

I've been looking for the answer to this as well.

I don't even know where I can upload my excel file with category and product info.

I also need to automate this whole process to keep the product availability fresh, as the OP, Majika, seems to need as well? Is that what "cron jobs" do?

Can anyone help please?
