Guest
Stupid question I'm sure but if I update my snapshot, do I lose everything? All the mods I've added and my products, attributes, etc?
Guest
well yeah....if you overwrite your old files with new files then you will lose all changes and unless you commit the db changes also chances are you will break your store. cheers barry
Guest
thanks for posting, wasn't sure...alot of hard work went into this, don't even wanna start over. Can I ask you something else? Is there a way to save the products, atrributes? The other things are not as important or time comsuming as it is to load products and their attributes. charles
Linda, just curious, is your current site OSC or are you getting ready to go live with an OSC site? It looks good! We stand in ignorance only for questions not asked. Plug up the leaks in your knowledge base and open up a flood of understanding.

Well, I have done it earlier for one of my other sites : Using phpmyadmin, just export the relevant tables (with *drop table* instruction*) and then write the sql back into your database. It works a treat. Before you pop this pill, please do take a backup of your existing database (with and without *drop table* instruction), so there are no hard feelings against me for bad advice.
