Hi, I'm new on the forum and I would appreciate any help I can get.

When a customer completes check out, and the next customer logs in, they are automatically logged in as the previous customer. If they continue to order and checkout, the ship to address will be correct, and the correct customer will get billed on their credit card.

But of course, when the second customer sees a strange name, they discontinue check out and I lose the sale.

I had a guy who set up this shopping cart system, but i'm no longer in communication with him.

Has anyone here had the same problem and are you able to help me?

Thanks!

Cindy

Bump...

I know I have seen this problem, but I don't remember how it was solved.

As a starting point, what are your session settings (under Configuration -> Settings) in the admin section?

Mine are below, and it works fine:

Force Cookie Use: False

Check SSL Session ID: False

Check User Agent: False

Check IP Address: False

Prevent Spider Sessions: True

Recreate Session: True

Thanks guys!

Fimble...it is set on false.

Cooch, I can't find "settings" under configuration.

Here's what it says:

Configuration

Sessions

It was early...I meant sessions not settings

Hey Nic,

It was on false and I just changed it to true, because cooch told me to above.

Which one should it be? True or false?

Also, do you allow spider sessions?

Actually, I am just trying to show you some settings that work for me with no errors or mix-ups.
