casualsclobber
Hello there, can anyone help? I can't get on the file manager part of admin, a jumbled code comes up instead of letting me in, as a result I've been unable to update the shop/site for nearly 3 months leading to out of date content. This is what comes up, how is it fixed? I want to add a new logo/header and new write up content on the main page. Any help massively appreciated. casualsclobber
Anyone help? It would appear the file manager section has been deleted somehow as a result we can't update anything? Do any techies know a way round this?
knifeman
Most people do not recommend using the built in file manager. The best method is to FTP the file to your desktop, modify it, and upload it back to the server. And of course making backups before any editing. Tim The File manager will break your site, the best thing to do is remove the link and never use it again. Do as Tim suggests, though you may wan tot create a localhost copy so you always have a working back up Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
casualsclobber
Many thanks for the replies. how do I do that though if it won't let me in?
knifeman
When you use an FTP program, you log in top your web server, not the osc admin. Many hosts provide Cpanel on the server for admin work. Do you have something like that? A quick question to your host and they will tell you your log in info for the server. Tim Many thanks for the replies. how do I do that though if it won't let me in?
